Otome Nadeshiko Koi Techou OVA

Episodes: 1
Aired: Jan 26, 2012
Runtime: 10 mins
Producers: Studio Izena

This OVA was bundled with the special version of the Otome Nadeshiko Love Story 2 light novel and it follows the story of a young girl falling in love in Japan's Taishou Period (1912-1926). I usually don't go for historical things, unless you count the special arc in Air, but something about the simplicity of this intrigued me and I'm somewhat looking forward to how a romance would blossom and what etiquette would be.

Magical Girl Pretty Sammy OVA

More info here
There's quite possibly no genre I love more than the prevalent magical girl genre, and no better era for anime (in my opinion) than the 80/90's, so why don't we combine the two by looking at this OVA that was a spin-off of the popular Tenchi Muyo!

Goulart Knights: Evoked the Beginning Black

More info here:
When I see there's anime that I've never heard of from the past ten years I feel a bit odd. This is one of those titles, though, granted it's an OVA. With some very minor digging on the internet I found the main platform of this title was a 3 Volume manga

Review: Marimo no Hana: Saikyou Butouha Shougakusei Densetsu

Info here!
Ribon seems to be the best publication for serialising seriously sweet shoujo! I've stumbled across yet another adorable advertisement for a manga (on a roll with alliteration too!). This OVA is set noticeably apart from the OVAs done for Oha Sutax Ribon that I'd reviewed before!
See after the cut to watch it for yourself!

Review: Time Stranger Kyoko: Leave it to Chocola

This is a spin-off OVA, for details on the manga click here
I'm a huge fan of Arina Tanemura, it all started with Full Moon wo Sagashite and then I went on to Kamizake Kaitou Jeane and made it a goal of mine to read all of her manga. Her style is elegant, cute, detailed, mysterious and her female protagonists are strong-willed but pure and believable. To me she's a shoujo mangaka that can show girls that heroine's don't always need a male to cement what is right for them.

But this... I wish this was the whole series and not a weird side-story.
You can watch the full OVA after the cut.

Review: First Kiss Monogatari & 12-Sai ~Suki, Kirai, Suki~

Art: YiiChan@deviantART
There's something so sweet and lovely about your very first kiss, or even the thought of having your first kiss (though, younger readers, don't rush yourself!), today's OVA review will focus on a few titles focusing on something that's just lovely- kisses.
Two very different sides of a subject; a first kiss and a kiss that started a relationship.
Both of these are very short OVA.

Review: Ribon x Oha Suta Specials

Today's reviews will be animated OVAs that ran as a collaboration between Ribon, a monthly shoujo manga magazine, and Oha Suta a morning program for children (known for it's coverage of idols, Pokemon, anime and young pop-culture).

These shorts (which are very short) served as commercials to gain interest for the manga that were being sold. I'll do my best to attach links to where to read these manga online if you're interested!

If I can find any online videos, they will be included and you can watch along with me and comment with what you thought

See you below the cut!
